Filming with Australia’s SBS
What a whirlwind 3 day roadtrip we just spent with Australia’s SBS Broadcasters. Day 1 was in Chiba with a seller that we’re working with in showing off their beach-adjacent property. Day 2 was over in Saitama at the school renovation project. Day 3 was in Nagano with one of you, our lovely readers, visiting the property from last issue!
They’ll be editing and arranging over the next few weeks, but we’ll be sure to let you know when the youtube videos are live on their channel!
Hanging out at WebX
Hot on the heels of Matt’s call down to IVS in Kyoto to discuss abandoned houses and rural Japan, he was also recently invited to attend another major IT conference held in Tokyo, WebX. Snowball effect? He hopes so.
This is largely a Web3/Blockchain/Crypto related conference, and you sure could tell. Lots of neon, lots of graphics, lots of products that required considerable explanation, but also a lot of talent.
And more importantly, at least for us, a whole lot of interest in rural Japan. The conversations we had there were quite encouraging, and we’re very much looking forward to seeing where Web3 can take us!
Those are 2 of the major developments for us over the last few weeks, in addition to just regular old operations. Not everything can be glamorous, you know!
And now, for the main course: this month’s property! If you’re already a paid subscriber, well, what are you waiting for, dig in! If not, there’s always the chance to access what you’re missing out on by clicking through the button below - we’d love to have you along for the ride!
